General Background The national education system prioritizes character education to address moral decline and revive positive national values. Specific Background Developing responsibility in young learners requires structured educational environments that promote autonomy, discipline, and social awareness rather than merely focusing on academic achievements. Knowledge Gap Despite widespread implementation of character education, current research lacks systematic mapping on how targeted teaching models specifically cultivate the core value of accountability. Aims This conceptual review investigates how structured teaching approaches, particularly Project Based Learning, nurture responsible traits among young learners. Results Findings demonstrate that Project Based Learning successfully integrates cognitive, emotional, and behavioral elements by requiring learners to manage tasks, collaborate, and solve contextual problems, thereby internalizing accountability organically. Novelty This study provides a refined conceptual mapping that connects theoretical perspectives with empirical evidence, proving that accountability grows through structured classroom experiences rather than isolated moral instruction. Implications Educational institutions must implement strategic planning, empower educators as active facilitators, establish clear institutional policies, and collaborate with parents to systematically build a highly accountable future generation.
